Here’s the official release:

Twin Ports Bridge Festival to Celebrate “LOVE in 2013”

Duluth, MN:  The 3rd Annual Twin Ports Bridge Festival will take place on Saturday, July 6th at Bayfront Festival Park with the theme, “Love in 2013.”  There will be something for everyone from toddlers to grandparents during the full day of events that includes entertainment and activities to inspire and empower all who attend. It’s about real, inherent Love, the core of our being that unites us all in moving toward environmental, economic and social sustainability.

Every event at this summer’s festival is built around that theme. Main stage highlights will include folk pioneers, The Kingston Trio, this year. Cloud Cult, who just released their new album simply entitled “Love,” will finish the day with the signature sky lantern launch and drum circle. Also in the lineup are The Hunts, an inspiring young group from Chesapeake, Virginia, and popular Minnesota songwriter, Mason Jennings. Local acts include Saint Anyway, Jason Wussow and Friends, batteryboy (featuring Shannon Frid of Cloud Cult), Snobarn, and Breanne Marie. Speakers confirmed so far are Lyle Wildes, brain coach, and Erin DeWitt of Conscious Living Now. As in years past, Yoga on the Waterfront will start the day and there will be lots of activities for the kids highlighted by the Monkey Mind Pirates Family Yoga Party, the climbing wall, live animals, bounce houses and much more provided by community organizations and sponsors.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 9 a.m. Central time with a special early price of $25 for the entire day of events, $50 for families and $5 for kids age 12 and under. The early prices are only available for the first 2,000 sold. After that, the standard prices of $35 per ticket, $65 for families and $10 for kids will apply. The organizers’ goal is to bring in enough advance sales by May 31st to be able to offer free access to area organizations that focus on community members who could benefit from the inspiring messages conveyed at the festival, but would otherwise be unable to attend.

Vendor registration is now open, and organizers are also seeking volunteers and sponsorship from regional businesses to showcase their community focus and help attain the event accessibility goal.

Businesses, other community organizations and individuals wanting to get involved or just learn more about the event details are invited to join festival directors at Beaner’s Central on April 15th from 6-7 p.m. Learn how it would benefit you to get involved as a sponsor, vendor, exhibitor or volunteer. Meet one another and enjoy a snapshot of the festival. Kids are welcome!

The mission of the Twin Ports Bridge Festival has always been to celebrate and unite the community under a dynamic entertainment experience.
