Duluth, MN — KUMD 103.3 FM and the University of Minnesota Duluth are teaming up to “Stuff The Truck” by collecting donations for area flood recovery efforts, during the week of July 2-8.
The community is invited to help with donations including financial contributions, non-perishable food items and hygiene products (such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, diapers etc). Cash donations are highly recommended and the first 500 cash donations of $10 or more will receive a KUMD Session CD as a thank you gift.
“Stuff The Truck” donations will be accepted at KUMD (see details below) Monday through Friday, July 2-6, between 8 am and 6 pm and in front of the main entrance of the Twin Ports Bridge Festival at Bayfront Festival Park on July 7 and 8 between 11am and 7 pm. All the donations will go to United Way (Long Term Flood Recovery Fund) and Salvation Army, who will distribute the donations to those in need.
“As Duluth’s community radio station, KUMD is dedicated to helping those who suffered flood damage,” said Vicki Jacoba, KUMD Station Manager. “KUMD is excited to be working with the area’s mayors, non-profit groups, the Twin Ports Bridge Festival, and the UMD community to help those affected. Together, I know, we can make a difference.”
As the Official Radio Station of the Twin Ports Bridge Festival, KUMD celebrates Community Week, Monday through Friday, July 2-6, featuring area community leaders on Northland Morning at 8 am.
